Suggestions to willats@ucsc.edu

The Arboretum is located along the western edge of the UCSC campus.

At the intersection of Bay and High Streets (the main entrance of campus), proceed west along High Street, which turns into Empire Grade Road. Head towards the west entrance. Approximately one-half mile up High Street, you will see the Arboretum entrance on your right.
There are three areas for visitors to park, depending on their final destination in the Arboretum.

The first parking area you pass provides access to the gardens and Norrie's Gift Shop. If you proceed up the hill past Norrie's gift shop, there is parking to the right (including one accessible space) for the South African, Californian, and New Zealand gardens or you can turn left and head to the parking area for the Horticulture I and II buildings, the Library, Administrative Offices, and Australian gardens.

All three parking areas provide excellent access to different parts of the gardens.

The Arboretum is open daily for visitors from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., except Thanksgiving and Christmas. Admission is free with a suggested donation of $3 for adults.
